I was born to create art. I didn’t choose to be an artist, It chose me.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create a variety of different types of art. Sculptures, pop art, abstracts, murals, mixed media, clothing designs and functional art. I love to come up with a concept or theme first and then I create art in many mediums around that theme. For example my theme "When Words Fail, Music Speaks", I created mixed media art pieces with music sheets, wooden wall sculptures that played music though bluetooth from your phone decorated with vinyl records covers and silhouette cutouts on vinyl records.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration from every day life situations that I’ve been through, artists of the past, and real life scenarios and concepts. I also like to take eclectic items that we no longer use on the day-to-day and create nostalgic art pieces that invoke emotion. Such as cassette tapes, vinyl records, VHS tape covers, maps, boarding passes of places I’ve traveled, and magazine clippings.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest it towards a Salon/Gallery. I own a beauty salon as well doing art and would like to open a gallery inside my beauty salon to incorporate my two companies together. Providing facials, Lashes, permanent make up, art classes, paint and sip events, and art shows. Once I am able to open this Salon/Gallery I can then start representing other artists in Sacramento that don’t think that they have a chance in the art world.
