I love creating art that is freeing, almost a form of escapism. Things that make you go somewhere beyond our reality, but still has a grounding aspect that brings both comfort and discomfort.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere. Colors, patterns, nature, but mostly emotion. Emotion has been what drives me the most and where I find my passion. Whether it’s pain, anger, whimsy, love, or anything in between. I find deep connections in all of them and I believe my art shows that.
What would you do with $25,000?I’m sure I good portion would go towards housing for my family. But if I could spend it on anything, I would love to create my own little studio. Somewhere I can detach from reality and just create. That would bring me so much joy.
