I create art to process my experiences, express emotions, and tell stories. Art is also a means of self sufficiency in a capitalist world.

My favorite type of art is art that challenges me. I love working with new medium, challenging myself with new techniques, materials, and colors.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the people and stories around me. When I meet new people, sometimes the way they speak, their stories, their personalities elicit an image, or an idea. The more I think about my interaction with them, the more I see an image clearly. Then it becomes a matter of projecting the image I see in my mind, into reality. People don't realize that when they speak to me, they might be creating art within the folds of my brain. I just manifest it into something tangible.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use some of it to focus on my art and set myself up to participate in festivals, events, and other opportunities. I would also use a portion of it to host classes with materials paid for, for anyone who wants to learn art but cannot invest in themselves. I would love to focus on the people that wanted to be artists but were too afraid to take the leap when they were younger or were discouraged by others so that they can follow the money, raise families, or serve other people’s dreams.
