I make art because I feel something. I dont exactly know what but a sense of creation.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Anything really, as long as it gives a sense of wonder. It might be sorrowful or dark but beautiful. My paintings are ladies with no faces. My sculptures rarely have limbs. I love ceramics.
Where do you find inspiration?Might sound 'edgy' but I find it in sadness. Breaking self apart to make space for others is a current piece I'm working on. A pretty flower wilting. Bones that once held life. The sky as rain rolls in. I've been hiding it for 7 years and now I'm ready.
What would you do with $25,000?I want a kiln so I can actually finish a pieces and experiment without the risk of hurting someone elses kiln. Either building one or making a studio for weirdos to come and do art. I want a messy odd studio that isnt pristine. Land to work on and make a garden to use as inspuration and to help people. Build a catio for my too many cats to frolik in safely. There are many things but I guess the heart of it is I would live instead of scraping by for survival.
