Painting and poetry are at my core. I tell stories through canvas and words. I also work with textiles and bones, drawn to materials that carry memory, fragility, and truth. My art lives between softness and edge, beauty and decay.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from a life where innocence was taken too soon. I create pieces that still hold a childlike wonder, but with an edge shaped by survival. My work is deeply spiritual, bones reflecting the cycles of life, death, and rebirth I’ve lived through again and again.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in my art; materials, space, and time, because access isn’t easy when you’re low income. I won’t pretend I’d give it all away, but I would use it to build something bigger: a nonprofit using art to help CSA survivors process and heal through creation. This is personal I come from a lineage of survivors, and I want to turn that pain into a path for others.
