I am compelled daily to use my camera to build community by celebrating and documenting our elders, immigrants, and our shared humanity.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I wake up inspired most. by our humanity. I'm always mining for images as soon as I walk out my door for another adventure that will help people feel good about themselves and their community. I carry my camera everywhere I go, and sometimes, if I'm with a date, I might just go off suddenly to document an image.
What would you do with $25,000?What else but produce a video for "Story Time Under The Grandma Tree" featuring a Japanese tale during the Edo period that will utilise live dancing, animation, and when it is finished, I will then enter the piece into media festivals. Or I would use the funds to conduct R&D about a Caribbean opera singer who was born poor but later became an international star, only to get sick a decade later, lost all his money, and ultimately die in an insane asylum. I have no shortage of ideas, only funds.
