Art is the way is the only way I can show others how I see the world. It is a universal language and I love to use art to explore the world.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is still life watercolors of flowers. Traveling to botanical gardens or buying from florists and painting the unique and colorful flowers of real life. I also enjoy more imaginative acrylic painting, utilizing extreme colors and unrealistic landscapes to show a world beyond my imagination.
Where do you find inspiration?Mostly from the nature of the world. The type of plants and landscapes that draw you in so much that a photo isn’t enough to capture the beauty of it. I also draw on my childhood, the movies I would watch over and over and the finger paintings I would make as a child, I try to be the artist younger me always wanted to be.
What would you do with $25,000?I would put it toward my college education. I have to rely on scholarships and loans to pay for my college, and this money would allow me to focus on my education and explore my art in a less stressful environment and give me the opportunity to see the world I so desperately want to show through my art.
