I’m an artist and writer who creates from raw emotion and lived experience. I’ve completed my first poetry and art book and write lyrics that turn my words into another form of expression. I don’t plan what I create each piece unfolds as it’s meant to. Art became my way of finding peace within myself, turning pain into something meaningful, and I hope to inspire others to see that healing doesn’t have one form.
Where do you find inspiration?I live with CPTSD, and a few years ago I found myself in a very dark place. A friend gave me an easel and paint, hoping it would help me find my way back. It sat untouched for months until one night I picked it up. That moment turned into 4 years of painting and healing from childhood trauma and a difficult relationship. Art didn’t just help me it saved me. It gave me a safe place to express my emotions, I know I’m not alone in its power to heal.
What would you do with $25,000?I would start a not for profit art project for all ages to come and learn about how art heals and how the flow method that a canvas can get your mindset in, is life changing and should be the first thing trauma victims are recommended to do.
