I am a Host Of Sparrows, and I create Art because I believe that everyone can do amazing things when they learn to use their wings.

Aerial Arts
Where do you find inspiration?I find the most inspiration in watching adults dance in the air for the very first time, I am a teacher, an aerialist, a director, a choreographer, and ringmaster of Host of Sparrows Aerial Circus in Richmond, Virginia. My personal artworks confirm the moments I have moved… from seeing a flower growing out of the sidewalk or the plea for help from a woman in Gaza. I find inspiration all around me, but my artwork is usually grounded in reality not fantasy. Real moments, and real stories.
What would you do with $25,000?My circus company doesn’t save much money, with outstanding overhead of our lease & insurance. I would put this as down payment on a permanent building for Richmond school of Circus arts. We are Virginia‘s first Aerial Circus company, now in our 16th year. We’ve been moved around the city 3 times to development in our city. We want a home of our own to keep, so we can continue to teach & perform the challenging, empowering and creative arts of Circus in the safe and inclusive space.
