Art is in everything and is so vast and diverse. Loving art is like loving a partner you've been with your whole life.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Art that evokes an emotion, not only in me but also within my audience, is my favorite kind of art to create. Through art, there is the opportunity to tell stories from all different perspectives and lift the veil between the worlds of expression and experience.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration is everywhere. It's the wild, nonsensical dreams about liminal spaces, the shape of the clouds, the passing thoughts. Finding the inspiration is the easy part. The hard part is holding on to it. Like a kite caught in an endless windstorm. Inspiration is a fever that tears through you at the whim of the universe. It wakes you up in a sweat at 3 a.m. and forces creation into your hands. The more you chase it, the more it runs away. Inspiration comes from being alive.
What would you do with $25,000?With 25,000 dollars, I would pay rent for a year and work on furthering my art career. I could replenish my supplies, upgrade my equipment and technology, and beat the starving artist allegations. I would have more time to attend networking events and form meaningful industry connections. 25,000 dollars would change my life.
