Creating art is significant to my mental illness of bipolar and my favorite medium is detailed illustrations. I even close my eyes!!

When creating art, my favorite technique is to use illustration that highlights my knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. The art style that gets recognized the most is when I close my eyes and draw with no references. I put my black ink pen down on the surface and I don't llft it until I feel like it is done. Then I go back to the completed images and color in the organic spaces with watercolor, markers, and paint.
Where do you find inspiration?Seeing that I am a manic depressive artist, my brain goes into hyperdrive at moments in time. I like to label these times as "branches" in inspiration. I do a lot of brainstorms in both words and far-out concepts. Keeping an art journal is key to tracking down what my next illustration will be and what colors make for interesting compositions. Dancing, life drawing, and music also get my art juices flowing.
What would you do with $25,000?In my bedroom in my apartment, I have always dreamed of having a drafting table, organized containers for my art supplies and enough canvases and paper that I could fit in there. Right now, I do all my artwork in my recliner chair, and I think it is time for an upgrade for me. In addition, I have started writing a graphic novel and would love to have a drawing tablet for illustration and layout.
