I’m a mixed media encaustic artist using found objects to navigate and process my responses to the ever-changing landscape of life.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I am decidedly an abstract artist, it's how my brain processes imagery and I find it is the most direct way for me to capture and communicate emotion. Using mixed media allows me to be flexible in how I reflect on my experiences.
Where do you find inspiration? In the spaces between people, and between living things, in struggle and joy. I am in awe of daily tasks and objects, and I am obsessed with discarded items.
What would you do with $25,000?I would take a significant amount of time off to create work that I have been putting off due to the demands of my life and the need to make money consistently. And supplies. Always more supplies.
