My art is all inspired by nature, I would describe it as organic and mainly surrealistic. I combine detailed realism with dreamlike vision that bridges the gap between the physical world and the subconscious. I use oil paint and many translucent layers as my medium.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from the natural world- be it the delicate anatomy of a flower, the interplay of color found in shifting light or the silent stories told by a facial expression. I am drawn to the subtle nuances that invite thought.
What would you do with $25,000?I would love to be able to take a trip to Greece, that is my dream trip for inspiration for my art. I'd like to create a series of paintings from that inspiration between the mythology references and the quality of light - I think it would be ideal.
