I love nature, light and catching the essence of the subject. Through Impressionism and semi abstract techniques using oil paints

I enjoy semi-abstract and impressionism, I don't want to get caught up on details. Lately I've switched to using a palette knife for a lot of my work, it's giving me wonderful textures and more freedom for effects rather than painting the branches on a tree, they are suggested, and your imagination fills in the rest. It's also added enjoyment, painting is fun again, not as tight, more loose and interesting.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration is mainly through nature and applying new techniques; studying the clouds, sky's and ocean, how the light hits something, the colours, the reflections-the beauty of nature steals my heart. But then there are wonderful surprises when I'm just playing with the paint, trying new colors and harmony. The best thing about art is your options are endless. There is so much variety and endless intrigue.
What would you do with $25,000?Ok, I'm 62 and retired, I've been injured for the past year. I lost a few teeth that need replacing. I need some new cloths and to start up a garden. After that I'd like to set up a website to sell my paintings, buy some new canvases and reinvest in myself. I've always wanted to join some other artist seminars, and make some new friends and connections through the process. I need some like minded people in my life. Perhaps teach some classes at a local community center. And say thank you!
