I love creating art because it allows me to express so much more than I ever could with words.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I like to create art that gives people the chance to slow down, practice mindfulness, and take in the current moment. Some of my work is related to specific memories, and some are a request for presence. I enjoy drawing, sculpting, and painting.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in memories I have, the natural world, the people I love, and other artists. Many aspects of nature are overlooked and under-appreciated so I like to point out some of those details that I notice. The memories that I have and the experiences in my life so far have made me the person I am today and I think that reflecting on those through creating art helps me grow. The door I made is a recreation of the door with me and my sister’s height chart growing up.
What would you do with $25,000?I would pay off my remaining school debt, buy a reliable car, and save anything left for a down payment on some land.
