I am a lifelong artist dedicated to the study and research of puppetry. I have attended festivals around the world to gain experience and showcase my work. I have experimented with various techniques to open a horizon that leads me to knowledge. The role of the puppet is to transform an inanimate character into a living one. It is to entertain the audience while opening their minds to creativity, imagination, understanding, and reflection.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration comes from life itself, from stories, legends, and my own imagination. People are an endless source of inspiration for creating characters. Each person is a unique world, expressed through their language, appearance, and nonverbal gestures. With all of this material, I shape each character and place them where they belong in the story.
What would you do with $25,000?To improve and enrich our projects with new technological advances such as sound, lighting, set design, and more. To create new ideas on a more functional stage that allows us to carry out mobile productions, not only in theaters but also in physical spaces such as schools, hospitals, parks, and other locations. To experiment with new materials for building the handmade puppets and production elements.
