Painting was always something I wanted to become skilled at. I always painted on leather sneakers and felt the 3D surface made the project more interesting. People have enjoyed my creativity for over 20 years. Creating a canvas painting was a new experience for me.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration came from Japanese Animation and Japanese manga from the 90’s. I told myself I would live in Japan and create amazing work while living there. I open my favorite manga when I need to learn a new technique. The detail and line work is out of this world.
What would you do with $25,000?Securing a studio space would be my main goal with the winnings. TIME/SPACE/ENERGY is my equation for completing ANYTHING on this planet. I struggle with SPACE so I would challenge myself to create my most compelling work while having the space available.
