What is your favorite type of art to create?

I tend to make anatomy or figure related artworks, as I have found that art is so deeply related to the body for me that I cannot help but recreate it in my work. I primarily work in the 3D, and I love making surreal artworks that play with perspective.

Where do you find inspiration?

I derive my inspiration from the body and mind, mostly looking into social constructs and psychology concepts to gain a deeper understanding of what I see and feel. However, I am also a major fan of Baroque and Renaissance sculpture, as I am fascinated by its realism and ability to capture human essence. In my process and final pieces I seek to achieve the same level of expression and narrative sculpture that old masters such as Bernini and Caravaggio were able to, but in my own personal font.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would put this money towards art materials and affording my current education at the Rhode Island School of Design. I am a financially less fortunate student, so this reward would be extraordinarily helpful in allowing me to create without the stress of where that money must come from. Furthermore, I am in the process of exploring possible innovations in the prosthetics field, so $25,000 would help me afford to research and prototype the designs which I hope to someday bring to the public.
