I love to create art because it allows me to feel free. Every photo has a story behind it. I love, capturing fleeting moments
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I shoot on 35mm film and I shoot a lot of different cameras. I use Range Finders when on the street sporting a Bessa R2 (the poor man’s Leica) I used to go through my grandmothers old film photos when I was a kid visiting her house so I always try to shoot whatever brings me back to her unfinished basement with that box of photos sitting in the middle of the room.
Where do you find inspiration? My family and the fact that I only get one life on this earth which allows me to be fearless when shooting film. In no way am I ever trying to harm people through the photos that are taken but I am simply trying to tell their story I think some of my favorite places to shoot come to me from old Italian movies and vintage magazines.
What would you do with $25,000?Invest it in a high yield savings account and purchase my own scanner so I can process my film without going to a lab to do it.
