I am mostly a sculptural artist and with I've explored various avenues of creating and my favorites are when I combine them. I have done numerous pieces that combine both leather work and metal with my wheel throw ceramics that I often times cut out various types of designs and patterns out of. I love to push both my skills and materials i work to their limits and how every challenge serves as new source of knowledge.
Where do you find inspiration?Every where. The beauty created by nature always leaves an impact. In other situations conceptual works often are inspired by contemplation of society, human nature, and the spirit of the universe. My family often leave me inspired and always find it rewarding when I give them my artwork and the joy that it brings them. Lastly is my thirst for knowledge and experience that are developed while lost in the act of creating and the inner peace that I find in those moments.
What would you do with $25,000?Get artist co-op I've been building part 5 years set up as legitimate non profit, build a washroom on to the workshop space I've put together for co-op and get me carburetor for the motor home I got for our mobile showroom set up and take out on the road for art least a couple weeks and of any left would put towards the pile debt accumulated last year when built our storefront. Of accomplished all that an still had some would put it towards supplies for the workshops I teach.
