I love creating art that resonates with the viewer. Art can be interpreted in many different ways, and I strive to create art that strikes up a conversation and dialogue between people from every walk of life.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in every day life, which is also why I love photography. The realness you can capture through candid shots says a lot about humanity. I find inspiration in imperfection, whether it is in myself or the people around me, inspiring my portraits or acting as my muse. The nature surrounding me helps inspire my landscape paintings. I enjoy creating vibrant landscapes.
What would you do with $25,000?A $25,000 prize, seems almost impossible to even visualize. I would love to donate half of the proceeds to support upcoming artists and fund art supplies for public schools. I would also like to expand my portfolio and create art with all different mediums. With the award, I would be able to buy the supplies I need, such as larger canvases so that I can create larger collections that are statement pieces.
