Ian Pettigrew

Since I was a child, i've always been drawn to art. Be it just doodling, creating my own comics, or now photography. It's a compulsion.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

Photography. It captures a moment in time. An indelible image will stand the test of time.

Where do you find inspiration?

Life in general - the good and the bad. Our experiences shape us. As well as the Art Gods that have come before us. Even though I primarily do photography, all art forms inspire me.

What would you do with $25,000?

I've wanted to produce a book of my landscape photos, but i'd also had thoughts of a new project called "SCARS"... b/w photos of people showing their scars and the stories behind them, all good and bad. Maybe its from Transplants, or injury. I'm also halfway in to writing a screenplay which i'd like to take the time to finish.
