Among other things, I am very fond of photography. I love the ability to freeze time. I admired photography as a spectator long before engaging in the craft. I thought of it as a special superpower for the chosen few with well-trained eyes and minds. I also use this medium to help people make better decisions online, adding images as part of my online reviews as a digital local guide. I got close to 500K new views for February 2026, garnering 22million views and counting on Google Maps alone.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from life's experiences, most recently from travel. I have submitted "Main Street America" and "Sing for Joy". Main Street America explores the poignant experience of revisiting the iconic landmarks and places of one's youth in the twilight of life. Sing for Joy captures a singular, luminous moment during a Midwestern middle school youth choir's holiday performance—a scene where diversity and uniformity converge in perfect harmony.
What would you do with $25,000?In the past, I have been without works to submit to galleries and art contests. I want to expand my capacity with more finished works. When I win the prize, I will create a mini-gallerium and workspace with at least 50 body of work, to have on standby so I don't ever have to miss an opportunity to show my works.
