Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

I work primarily in mixed media and painting, often integrating symbolic, spiritual, and autobiographical elements. My practice is rooted in ritual, memory, and transformation—bridging personal history with collective archetypes. I’m drawn to layered surfaces, raw textures, and materials that carry both fragility and resistance, allowing each piece to hold emotional and energetic depth.

Where do you find inspiration?

In cycles of displacement, identity, and spiritual inquiry. I draw from my migration experience, my mother’s memory, and esoteric systems like Kabbalah and tarot. Nature—especially the shifting landscapes of the Hamptons—grounds me, while human relationships and power dynamics continuously inform my work. Inspiration comes from navigating uncertainty and seeking meaning within it.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would secure a stable live/work space to sustain my practice beyond seasonal instability, and invest in producing a cohesive body of work for exhibitions. It would allow me to deepen ongoing collaborations, access better materials, and document my work professionally—creating long-term visibility and supporting my path toward permanent residency as an artist in the U.S.
