What is your favorite type of art to create?

The projects and concepts I look forward to working with most in art are ones that capture the essence of human spirit and whimsy. Most of my personally favored pieces are the paintings I created based off of what was on my heart and mind during the creative process. It allows myself and others to see physically, an expression of the raw emotion that comes with life. With utilization of bright vibrant color schemes & bold accents, the art becomes a loud statement to those who listen.

Where do you find inspiration?

As someone who identifies as a multifaceted person and one that has experienced the extremes of life, I find inspiration through the complexity of humanity. After the tragic loss of a loved one in ‘24, the only way I was able to process this sudden event was by creative outlet. With so few around me who can understand the levity of what I experienced, I found solace in turning some of the grief into something beautiful. In time I found that other people appreciated my creations and brought joy.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would utilize it to invest in more quality long-lasting materials and equipment for my studio space, participate in opportunities/courses that teach me how to expand on my craft & develop professionally, and lastly fund marketing for exposure to reach broader audiences as well as general living expenses. Full time I am employed as social worker for those with severe mental health diagnoses and substance abuse, a job I love & hope to combine my passions one day to bring art & healing together.
