I started painting at 48. It’s never too late to start something new. My art is full of realism, emotion, and sincerity.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite form of art is realistic portrait painting and drawing.
Where do you find inspiration?I love realism and create portraits of people and animals whose sincerity resonates with me: depth, truth, and emotions that cannot be faked. This inspires me to convey all of it on paper so that the portrait “speaks.” Each of my paintings has its own real story. I often asked myself why I am so drawn to this, and I realized that I was missing sincerity in real life. Many people note that they can feel a soul in my works.
What would you do with $25,000?If I won $25,000 in a competition, I would use part of the money to help my cousin — she really needs it right now: she has a small child, and her mother is battling cervical cancer. I would save another part as a down payment to buy a home for my family.
