My favorite kind of art to create is art that tells the truth. True to my experiences, or someone else’s lived experiences. My preferred mediums are tattooing, oil painting, and drawing. I particularly love creating portraits of people and animals, and anything with a wide array of value and detail. I love capturing the likeness of individuals and creating something aesthetically pleasing.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through music, musicians, life experiences, and my own thoughts. I really like analyzing certain parts of my life and identifying how things feel. I also like giving homage to other forms of art in my work, which is why I’m so inspired to draw musicians. I enjoy tattooing since it allows me to create something for another person with the same bases for inspiration. Like a tattoo based on their favorite song, or a profound life experience they went through.
What would you do with $25,000?I would upgrade some of my tattoo supplies to provide the best quality experience for my clients. I would also expand my team since I currently am a one person business. I would greatly benefit from having an assistant to help me take pictures, bookkeep, market, etc. The money would also support me in getting new art supplies to create more original oil paintings. Additionally, I’m currently writing a novel and creating an art series for it. Any funding would help support this project.
