Well, that depends. I enjoy sculpting in clay, because that was the medium I was first introduced to as a little boy. It’s something that connects me to where I started. Over time, though, I’ve grown to love painting, especially animals. I work mostly with acrylics on backcloth, blending a modern style with cultural elements that remind me of where I come from. For me, art is both memory and expression. It allows me to carry my roots into what I create today.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration in nature, and people . The flap of a king fisher, as it flies or just as it breaks the water surface. The dance of the trees, or people just talking, it all inspires me.
What would you do with $25,000?I would Pay for my car. I know it sounds weird perhaps, but as an international student in the United States, I would like to not have to worry about some bills like the car bill, and just focus on getting my education and keep my creative spirit alive and right now, when I see that I might lose my car, I think, if I got some money that I did not plan for, I'd pay for that.
