I create art to spread joy make people feel accepted for being playful and childish!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I like to create whimsical pieces that play with the feelings of nostalgia, fear, and disgust. These emotions are ones that I feel very deeply, and I am very interested in seeing how people respond to negative subjects in a playful way. My goal with my art is oftentimes to make the viewer laugh and remind them that all stages of life are precious!
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from music and nature, and I often find myself inspired by my artistic peers.
What would you do with $25,000?With 25,000, I also would hope to create some sort of tabling/artist event in my hometown that lacks artistic community. My father is a creative spirit and an avid poet and photographer and I think creating an artist space will inspire him and others to create without judgement. I would also put it towards my student loans for my degree in illustration.
