I love art because it feels personal in a way that not many things do. It’s freeing, messy, emotional, and perfect by being imperfect.

I love making abstract art because it feels like the one place I can fully be myself. I don’t have to follow rules or make anything look perfect. I just paint what I feel, and that makes it personal. Every color and shape comes from my mood, whether it’s calm or messy. There are no mistakes, only changes, and that makes it freeing. I also love how everyone sees something different in my work. It turns my feelings into something others can connect with in their own way.
Where do you find inspiration?Sometimes I get inspiration from things I see online, like certain colors or styles that just stand out to me. But honestly, a lot of the time I don’t have any inspiration at all, and I kind of love that. I’ll just sit down, look at a blank canvas, and start painting anyway. I don’t plan it out or overthink it, I just let my hand move and see where it goes. There’s something really calming about not knowing what it’s going to turn into. It feels real and whatever happens, happens.
What would you do with $25,000?I’m currently putting myself through college for business, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I’ve already earned my associate’s degree, and I’m now pursuing my bachelor’s, which I plan to complete in summer 2027. After that, I also plan to continue and earn my master’s. Alongside school, I work at a jewelry store, where I’ve learned valuable skills about customer service and business operations. If I had the finances, I would invest in my education and begin building my own business.
