I create art to inspire others. I bring color to my communities no matter the cost and remind the world theres beauty in embracing change <3
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is large scale colorful murals. Whether it be graffiti or just public painting, I like to put my work in places that anyone can find and hopefully be inspired by. Lots of color and ideas of motion or balance mean a lot to me in the sense of sparking positive change. Also just giving people something to look at that’s not trying to sell you anything!
Where do you find inspiration?I’m inspired by natural or geometric patterns. Sometimes ornamentation or art nouveau themes that might have been found in posters from Rick Griffen or Wes Wilson in the late 60s Psychedelic era. For street style and political ideas I have been greatly inspired by Mike “DREAM” TDK RIP, a San Francisco/Oakland based Graffiti artist that encouraged peace by redirecting the energy of the youth towards positive and creative outlets. His motto “DREAM BUT DONT SLEEP” spoke to the hearts and minds.
What would you do with $25,000?Thank you for voting for me, with this money I would host as many Free local art shows as I can. I would give every artist the opportunity to step into the light. This would go towards venue costs and organizing expenses. With many artistic opportunities closing in my city, I would be able to support my community and create spaces that allow people to truly connect to each other through art. This is my way of creating the meaningful change that I would like to see in the world. <3
