What is your favorite type of art to create?

My favorite type of art to create is character-driven, story-based work. I enjoy drawing, sculpting, and painting, but I’m especially drawn to character design, comics, and animation. I love bringing people to life through expressive designs and placing them in moments that feel real—whether humorous, emotional, or reflective. My goal is to tell meaningful stories and connect with people through them, often exploring themes of everyday life, faith, and personal growth.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in everyday life—real conversations, people, and moments that carry deeper meaning. I’m influenced by comic artists like Humberto Ramos, Jeff Smith, Mike Mignola, and Terry Moore, as well as animation from Disney, Chuck Jones, Hayao Miyazaki, Genndy Tartakovsky, and Don Bluth. My personal life, faith, and the places I visit continue to shape the stories I tell and the characters I bring to life.

What would you do with $25,000?

With $25,000, I would invest in growing my art—upgrading tools and materials for drawing, painting, and sculpting, and creating a dedicated studio space. I’d develop my comic and animation projects, including publishing and marketing my work to reach a wider audience. I’d also use a portion to build opportunities for others, hosting workshops or programs that help young artists grow in skill and confidence.
