I’ve been creating all my life—art lets me turn everyday moments into bold, vibrant expressions of how I see the world.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create mixed media oil paintings rooted in abstract realism, where expressive marks and layered textures meet recognizable forms. My process often begins with inks and acrylic washes, building movement and energy before developing the subject in oil. I’m drawn to bold color, contrast, and the tension between control and spontaneity. My work blends elements of nature, wildlife, and the industrial world, reflecting both the environments I travel through and the ones I work in.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the places I work and travel—wide open landscapes, changing skies, and the raw energy of job sites. The contrast between heavy industry and quiet moments in nature drives my work. Living and creating on the road keeps my perspective fresh and constantly evolving.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in better tools, upgrade my studio space, and dedicate more time to painting and developing my work.
