I use photography to explore the world around me, taking tiny yet permanent looks into the lives of people.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love shooting photography, however I never really enjoyed it or got too into the art until my first film camera. Film offers such a unique medium to capture moments in my life, the way I see the world around me. I love doing street photography, however I normally can’t just do that and try to have an expansive style, subject matter and technique.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from both people and spontaneity. Learning the life story of others allows me to look at the world we both live in a different way. But I often look around with a lens in mind, how I would be able to capture or frame what I’m seeing.
What would you do with $25,000?First a pizza party for my family. Then help with school payments, and finally help support my dream of finding dream cameras. Not to collect or hoard away, but to actually shoot and create even more art, preserving the magic of photography and exploring the world around me.
