I enjoy creating something tactile. The addition of texture, visual or physical, is great fun for me. It’s also a real challenge to add textural elements and details without allowing the work to become too “busy”.
Where do you find inspiration? In nature, as well as in my memories of childhood, in the 80s, playing in the woods with my friends.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the money to improve my art studio. I would add insulation, better electrical, storage, running water, air conditioning and heat. It’s kind of a trial to work in there right now, but I could make it such a great refuge to do my work and teach.
