I founded a production company with my two sisters while in college, I love art because it turns dreams into motion —Jacob Kohr
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art is the art that moves people the kind that pulls the heartstrings and plays the instrument of the inner soul, my art takes the form of Musical songs I write and sing, Films I create with my sisters Bernice and Faith Kohr, and the dreams that strike my spirit like lightning when I least expect them too.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the laughter of a friend, the tears that flow from within, and the moments silence when I’m sitting at piano or on my guitar composing a song only I can hear in my ears, when I imagine a fantastical world only my inner child could come up with. My inspiration is often a whisper that becomes a symphonic pursuit of passion either recorded on high fidelity tape in the recording studio with my dad, or a new world in motion picture film stock. I believe in analog art.
What would you do with $25,000?I would produce our first short film that we wrote together with my younger sisters Faith and Bernice Kohr and submit it to Sundance film festival. We are going to Pepperdine university together as a sibling team thanks to academic scholarships but they are partial so we work long shifts after our class to cover the rest of our schooling out of pocket, all while building our sibling run production company together. 25,000$ would change our lives and allow us a chance to make our dream come true.
