I’m a Painter and Photographer. I love to create art because of the process and the form of expression without words.

My favorite art to create are images that have movement and light. It can be the twisting of shapes or bright colors layered to create visual depth. I hope that it intrigues and draws in the viewer. Working as a Painter and a Photographer I create art that often combines both making unexpected textures and color. The subject is my memories or visions. I layer my photographs until the final one speaks to me without words. I hope my art is unifying as a human expression of life.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from my life as a woman. The experiences from childhood to an adult are embedded in my art. The contrast between natural and constructed, organic and restrained. Growing up surrounded by beautiful landscapes my images often have elements of nature. I create art because I’ve always wanted to connect with people in a visual way and the process of getting there is the most freeing part.
What would you do with $25,000?I would have a studio where I could continue to paint, do photography, and make ceramics. I have so much to say about life and our shared experiences. I would be able to have more people see my work which has always been my main goal. I believe that art can bring people together when they feel separated by differences.
