I like to create anything that depicts human nature, feelings& emotions. I see the world through a Traumatic Brain Injury, I can't always find the words on what I see or how I feel. Aphasia is a side effect of my TBI, I didn't like the way it made me feel when I couldn't find my words. It gave me great relief to mix colors& paint the exact emotions of my though
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in human nature, music& the outdoors. Weather it be a river, a trail or a circus, it's all awe inspiring to me. I'm also Choctaw & grounding myself with my Great Ancestors reminds me that even though I may struggle, I am strong &life is a gift, I'm also greatly inspired by my 2 children who have endured many changes since my TBI- I don't want to cry, I want to feel & when I can't describe it, I paint, I explore art in all forms. This inspiration gives meaning.
What would you do with $25,000?What I would do with $25,000 is coordinate a Paint in the Park day so that undeserved kids in my community get a chance to see how healing art is& have them create something to be inspired by& feel proud of. I would also get guitar lessons to learn how to play a Beatles song!! And I would get art supplies to donate to local schools. And if there is any left over, I would by an art easle & some paint& brushes!! Not paint that doesn't work good. And I would by my son a camera& my daughter new clot
