I am now a retired Cultural anthropologist and began painting after I retired. This is the first time I have let my art be shown…nervous!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Creating art is like letting my personality do a dance! My favorite creations blend fun and creativity, making the process as enjoyable as the final masterpiece. Whether I’m capturing a person’s spirit through a portrait, infusing a touch of humor, or hosting a vibrant celebration of nature with bright flowers or majestic animals, each piece resonates deeply with me.
Where do you find inspiration?Diving into the world of art, I find creative souls shaping my journey. Georgia O’Keeffe’s bold objects and urge me to explore the everyday, capturing nature uniquely. Louise Vigeelebrun's portraits inspire me to seek stories in every face. Ann Brockman's in the Ashcan art movement reminds me to embrace the raw truths of urban life. Joseph Mugnaini's dark illustrations for Ray Bradbury captivate me, teaching me to transform shadows into intrigue. My art is a journey. Everyone’s art is a journey.
What would you do with $25,000?When faced with a windfall of $25,000, one could think of personal goals. Or, instead of splurging on indulgences, (there goes the freezer full of ice cream) you think what about future benefits. Or, maybe you’d dive into a health-focused initiative, like a gym membership or focusing on physical well-being. Or, a lifetime of art supplies. A little of each?
