The more I experience of this world, and the more I experience of society, the more I understand that art and creativity are radical acts.

I love to draw and paint, however, I constantly push myself to learn other mediums. I currently am learning how to work with different types of clay and to get more in tune with my hands as I create. I learn new skills in hopes to keep my mind open to new possibilities as well as to intake all that is meant for me.
Where do you find inspiration?Currently my inspiration is found in the act of simply creating - that in of itself has become more and more radical in a world of statistics, capitalism, and greed. I find a sort of rebellion wrapped up in a deep catharsis knowing that art has moved/empowered more people all over the world than not. This piece named Eos - after the greek goddess of the dawn- more than anything is to represent Hope.
What would you do with $25,000?Firstly, as a stipend to continue to create art, to continue my dream, and to use my artwork to invoke emotion and maybe even change. Second, I would love to either support another small artist get the supplies they need to achieve their own dreams but also see what I could do about supporting art classes in schools local to me. I want to fight to keep art relevant to young children, teens, and especially for adults, who seem to lose their magic the older they get.
