Through origami, I found my voice—healing, creating, and pushing boundaries to show its place in fine art, sharing a sentiment I can reveal.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Origami is my primary medium and passion—transforming a single sheet of paper into intricate, sculptural works that challenge its perceived limits. It’s where precision, patience, and vision meet. My foundation in French pastry also informs my process—both demand discipline, refinement, and an understanding of structure. Together, they shape how I create with intention and elevate detail into art.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from deep reflection within and the evolution of my lived experiences. I’m constantly observing how I grow, adapt, and respond to the world around me. Through that lens, I explore what origami can become beyond its traditional boundaries—pushing the medium into spaces it’s often not expected to exist in. Achieving it’s fullest potential along with my own.
What would you do with $25,000?I would reinvest in my origami practice while giving back to the community that continues to support me. As an active partner in Little Tokyo, I would donate a portion toward community-centered art initiatives. The rest would go toward producing and exhibiting new work on the high-level platforms I’ve been invited to, allowing me to expand the presence of origami in fine art spaces and continue building long-term sustainability as an artist.
