Art allows us to go beyond what the eyes see to share our own perception of reality and preserve the memory of what cannot be possessed.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I recently got back to making art after a long hiatus. I haven’t found my niche. I think my niche is no niche - whatever inspires me at the time. I mostly work either with calligraphy ink or acrylics. I seem to draw a lot of animals, especially horses and paniolo (Hawaiian cowboys). I also like to create my version of Asian heroes (mythological or real) and nature. I am also a songwriter and musician.
Where do you find inspiration? Most of my inspiration comes from things I love , places I live or visit or current events. I am inspired by Chinese calligraphy and also Chinese legends ( think Monkey King, Mulan etc).
What would you do with $25,000?I would pay all my bills. If there was anything left, I would use the rest to get my online business going.
