Creating art is cathartic. I am neurodivergent on many levels and love that it fuels my craft. Hyperfocus, solace and connection with ME!

I love art made from repurposed, upcycled, materials that noone saw the beauty in. I love saving, collecting and transforming beautiful things from what was thought to be a discard.
Where do you find inspiration? In the materials I touch as they transform shape, texture and color through my hands and imagination. I see things in objects and let the materials guide me. It’s so immersing and inspiring to watch art happen before your eyes. When these pieces communicate a story or message that speaks to someone. That’s euphoria for me. Grateful for my resources. Some materials I find or find me, others I hunt for at The Materials Center and Fab Scrap. My mother always said Let Nothing be Wasted!
What would you do with $25,000?I would give a 10th of it to my son who is starting NYU in the Fall. He too has struggled with traditional learning environments and has fought hard to get into NYU. The rest will go to my non- profit. theblendedgarden.org
