My favorite genre of art to create is stop motion animation. I am an avid film maker, musician, painter and writer. Stop motion animation allows me to combine everything I love to create into one medium. Stop motion is an extremely time sensitive process that requires dedication, organization and discipline to the craft which I enjoy. The most fun aspect is that I get to focus on my passion and hone in my skills as a multifaceted artist in order to make a story picture by picture.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere I look. I'm a firm believer that beauty is a universal quality present in everything. I perceive the world with a positive outlook and always imagine how I can be creative and make something from nothing. I appreciate life and art for their wonder and magic. I grow and learn how to work even when nothing feels inspiring by revisiting old moments and shaping my experiences into film, music or paintings to explore the same emotion in different languages.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000 I will finish my current stop motion feature film then start a business. The business will be named Friend Studios and will be the first feature film production studio in Columbus Ohio. Friend Studios will be a conglomerate for artists to collaborate on anything they want to make. There will be a film production studio for any kind of film, an audio recording studio for musicians and song production, and a public space for any artistic ventures! Thank you for the opportunity.
