Art helped me speak when I couldn’t. I grew up in a big family of full of successes and always felt my voice was not heard. I turned to art.

My favorite art to create is impressionist work. Recently I’ve gravitated towards acrylic paint and gesso for my materials as the gesso can give the acrylic an oil like quality. I love to create art which bends perception and create optical illusions and includes line patterns. This is built into my technique.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration and healing through doing the work itself (when my brain allows me the flow state). Especially in recent years I’ve had a lot of life events which have caused me intense grief. Escaping to my art has really helped me to channel that energy into my work.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d use the $25,000 to grow my practice by taking on larger projects, especially a partially animated music video I’ve been wanting to make. I’d also set some aside to travel somewhere new for fresh perspective and inspiration. As a multimedia artist, music producer, visual designer, and vocalist, I’m focused on making honest, immersive work across different mediums.
