James Cleat

It’s an expression of my soul. One I’m not able to express any other way. Creating something from nothing is my way of expressing “me”.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

Sculptures or modern art I suppose you could call it. It’s a mixed medium usually 3-D of course in dimension and tactile. Additionally, good old paint to canvas is my go to when I’m feeling “Blue.”

Where do you find inspiration?

Usually from a mixture of the world around me and from within. As I stated earlier, my art is usually an expression of my soul. So my works are kind of a mirror of myself to the world.

What would you do with $25,000?

Pay off some of my debt. And with the remainder, build a studio. One that I can share with others, in hopes of helping others nurture and express their “tormented” within. In a safe and mind (and third eye) opening space.
