Through the phenomenon of self-imagery in the unknown, artistic focus invites both discovery and intrigue.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
In the last decade, my favourite works have been non-objective expressions. Pen, pencil, old markers still of use, and basic acrylic paint have been my choices in media. Both sketch and coloured pencil my top preferences. Old markers always present a challenge while also providing the nostalgic scent of my youth. Painting is soothing, a flowing entrancement that carries into the early light of the morning hours.
Where do you find inspiration? As individuals, we all have movements caused by both our own energy and that of the atmosphere. The creation of art is a way to express the result of these variables. As a subordinate vessel, powerless over the surroundings, an artist uses their movement to find color and shape to represent the current reality. Through their work, an artist offers a way to transcend the human experience.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in my media studio dreams with the ultimate goal of acquiring professional-grade art supplies, equipment, and stable technology for my label, My Owl Media. A portion of these funds would support the local businesses I frequent to promote my music and art. Additionally, I would consider hiring representation for distribution and management.
