It’s simply something I have to do, like eating and sleeping. My self portrait work has also drastically changed how I see myself.

I work in many mediums but the medium I always go back to is self portrait work. It’s completely shifted how I see my body. It’s made me feel more empowered in myself, my body, and how I can create.
Where do you find inspiration? My work as an art model for 10 years has greatly inspired my work. Seeing my body as art shifted the way I saw myself. I’m also very inspired by the work of Laura Aguilar. As well as the long history of nude models, sculptures & the form captured in paintings.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the winnings to further fund my art work. I’d love to find a studio space that could afford me the space to further expand on my practice. I also have several ideas for projects that would be able to come to life if the funding were available. It would truly be an honor to be able to commit to much time, energy & resources to the expansion of my practice.
