I create my mixed media art to express the wonder I feel in Nature & Human Nature. I’m interested in how our senses are spiritually real.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create has a duality of imagery & meaning. A landscape for instance, can be a portrait of a place or have figurative movement that creates dual emotional depth. I think Van Gogh is the artist who does this most masterfully. Collage has the juxtaposition of materials that also conveys a duality of textures, form & content which I love.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in Nature. The profound scale as a mere human is daunting & my senses are challenged to represent what I am experiencing beyond realism.
What would you do with $25,000?I would rent a studio to make my large mixed media works in LA. I had a stroke in 2025, was paralyzed on my left side, so I am rebuilding life & would love to paint large again like my submissions to the competition!
