I create traditional work to story tell in my culture, Tahltan & Nisga’a nations. Painting, carving, and some digital art.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love creating my nation’s traditional art form; I love carving and painting as my Nisǥa’a ancestors once did. I enjoy working with textiles and creating foliage designs like my Tahltan ancestors. I’m often looking at their artifacts and works of art that are in museums for inspiration. Foliage and frogs are my favourites to create in any art form ❤️
Where do you find inspiration?Since our culture was once illegal, I’m inspired by the resilience movement by recreating those traditional forms into modern designs for story sharing.
What would you do with $25,000?I would love to buy more art supplies and furniture to better organize my little studio.
